Curve & Divert System Allows For Flexibility
In response to designers’ requests for more diversified finish options, Hufcor is pleased to announce the addition of a complete line of architectural fusion laminates to our standard operable wall and Summit vertical stacking partition finishes. The full line of time-tested fusion laminates by prestigious Korean manufacturer LG are now exclusively available to Hufcor for factory application on our operable partition systems.
Is it just me, or do most standard vinyl, fabric and carpet finishes lack in “creativity” and warmth? I’ve heard directly from designers at trade shows, “When are you going to get some finishes that are exciting?” Well, we’ve taken this very seriously and jumped at the chance to offer a new finish that should excite the design community.
The LG finishes are laminated directly onto the Hufcor steel panel faces and accessory trims to create beautiful designs. The LG line offers hundreds of choices including the following families:
The architectural fusions are embossed to provide a realistic substitute for many different materials including wood, leather, brushed metals, natural woven materials and custom patterns. And, since the designs are high-definition photographic replicas, designers can choose faux wood veneers for exotic and even endangered wood species without risk.
The LG architectural fusions provide an unmatched combination of affordability, durability and flexibility. Compared to field applied and stained wood veneers and actual leathers, LG is extremely affordable. The LG materials have been applied to Hufcor Summit vertical stacking systems and cycle tested for rub and abrasion performance for more than 5,000 cycles and have passed without failure.
And, since the materials can be wrapped around edges, the fusions can be applied to Hufcor’s trims, wall jambs, track, glass wall rails and other exposed metal pieces to provide the utmost design flexibility.
Additionally, architectural fusions support life-cycle sustainability. Sure, the fusions are constructed of engineered plastics. Yet, for renovations, LG can be applied over the top of existing LG materials so a movable wall can be truly recovered rather than torn off and replaced. LG fusions potentially reduce landfill waste during the life cycle of the operable partitions. And for new construction, architectural fusions deliver the warmth and aesthetics of natural materials without depleting precious natural resources.
The finishes are Class A fire rated and meet the requirements of typical smoke and flame spread specifications for operable partitions.
Additionally, the laminates add no stack depth when applied to any of Hufcor’s wall systems. As such, stacking closets or Summit stack bays are not affected when using these fusion materials. Often when veneers and other materials are added to the movable wall faces, the stack areas take up additional floor space within the rooms.
Aesthetics and creativity for designers, durability for clients and users and flexibility of applying on nearly all of Hufcor’s product lines. These are the industry leading benefits of the new LG architectural fusions introduced by Hufcor. For samples, please contact your local representative.
