Pocket Doors are the finishing touch for your installation.
Pocket doors close the opening of the storage area (or pocket) when the partitions are in the opening or not in use.
Hufcor pocket doors are a nominal 3” [76mm] thick and similar in construction to the operable panels used in the opening.
The pocket doors in this
upscale hotel were
finished on-site to match
the perimeter walls.
Pocket doors may be factory finished with the same face material and trim color as the operable partition. If you prefer the pocket doors to blend with the the permanent walls, they may also be manufactured unfinished for field finishing.
Hufcor offers four styles of pocket doors. It has been our experience that one of these types will work for most pocket openings; however, they may be customized to meet a particular application. Refer to the Pocket Door specifications for more information.
To extend or retract the
mechanism, just turn
the handle
Each door (or leaf) is secured in the closed position with a face-activated expanding internal mechanism. The top mechanism extends from the top rail and latches in the horizontal header. A jamb plate attached to the floor captures the bottom mechanism.
Type III pocket doors are used with electrically operated continuously hinged partitions and require limit switches to prevent the partition from operating until the pocket doors are completely open.
