JANESVILLE CENTRAL FIRE STATION
Situational training facilities are found throughout North America. Many facilities offer a concrete or stud wall constructed layout to provide situational training scenarios. Some systems use demountable wall panels to change room layouts. In either case, it can take 4-8 hours to reconfigure the layout of the training scenario. The Hufcor FlexTact® system is designed to provide scenarios of multiple building layouts in a single facility with quick change of layouts. FlexTact® uses time-tested overhead partition track and trolleys systems to allow panels to be easily moved into new positions, which in turn, allows for room changes in minutes, not hours.
FlexTact® panels move effortlessly into place allowing for multiple scenarios to be set up. A classic residential layout in the morning can be changed into a retail storefront for the afternoon. Then by the next morning, tactical trainees can work with a hotel or office layout.
FlexTact® flexibility and quick-change set-up increases a trainer’s ability to create realistic scenarios and improves training effectiveness for SWAT, MOUT, first responder, active shooter, fire & rescue and defensive tactics training.
At a fraction of the cost, your trainees receive situational training in a fraction of the time it would take to complete at off-site, fixed wall training facilities. With overhead observation catwalks, video monitoring and surveillance cameras (not provided by Hufcor), trainees can immediately review performance and receive feedback while the system is being reconfigured.
FlexTact® panels are constructed of rugged, welded steel frames buttressed by MDF high pressure laminate faces that withstand impacts. Edge trim protects the edges of panels from damage caused by repeated contact with trainees and bulky equipment. The FlexTact® overhead tracking system can carry doors, window panels, jail fronts, glass wall panels and more that allow for replication of any building scene.
Nearly 80% of actual SWAT and active shooter situations are conducted in low light a no light scenarios. FlexTact® can be designed to coordinate with zoned overhead lighting (not provided by Hufcor) to create the scenarios you need to practice in the dark.
FlexTact® movable partitions are supported on tracks from above, and the bottom retractable seals provide over 100 lbs (45.3 kg) of downward seal force, securing the panel in place without the need for floor pins. This means no floor tracks to get in the way, no tripping hazards, no interference or limitations on clear floor space and no crevices to collect debris.
The FlexTact® overhead tracking system is customized to your room size and training needs. The standard grid is 4′ x 4′ (1.2m x 1.2m) in area, but others have been designed with 8′ (2.4m) grids and special angles to fit within existing building designs. As such, FlexTact® can be retrofitted into almost any building with ample overhead support structure.

Pass doors are designed to mimic both commercial and residential style entrances. High pressure gas assist springs stabilize the door systems. Durable, custom designed roller latching systems and 18 gauge reinforced face steel allow for doors to be breached withg rams, human force or shot gun simulations. In addition, multiple hinging directions are offered to help trainees recognize and train the proper entrance techniques.
Window openings can be planned into any FlexTact® wall. Flangible windows can be inserted into the the FlexTact® window openings to provide conditions found in commercial buildings and residences to rehearse “break & rake” entry and distractions. The window frames are durable architectural grade aluminum and are reinforced so trainees can enter through the openings.
Marker boards or chalkboards can be added to FlexTact® panels for additional utility of training space.
