Trouble Shooting

What if panels are hanging out of alignment?

If a panel is hanging out of alignment, you may have a loose or broken trolley or misaligned trolley support beam.

 

Panels are sticking or are difficult to move.

There may be dirt present in the track and/or the track joints may be misaligned. The trolley may also be damaged. Clean the track and realign track joints.

There is an abnormal noise during panel movement.

The track joints may be misaligned and/or the trolley may be damaged.

The bottom seals will not operate.

Seal units or springs could be bent or damaged. Crank type seals may have stripped or damaged cranking mechanism and/or broken link between mechanism and seal.

Light is leaking between vertical edges of panels.

Panels may not be hanging plumb or vertical and/or the acoustic seals may be damaged or missing.

Light leaking between panel and overhead track.

Mechanical seals may not be operating and/or the sweep strips may be damaged or missing.

Light leaking between bottom of panel and floor.

Mechanical seals may not be operating and/or the sweep strips may be damaged or missing.

Light leaking at vertical closure.

Closure does not extend tightly against wall or pocket door. Closure mechanism may need to be adjusted.

Bottom seals will not operate.

Automatic seals may be bent or have broken springs. Crank type seals may have broken link between mechanism and seal.

Lever closure jamb will not extend.

Mechanism may be stripped and/or internal cables or chain may be tangled.
